RBC Women of Influence Award Nominee

We’re proud to share that our Founder, Carrie Okemow, has once again been nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards, recognizing accomplished and impactful women leaders across Canada.

Carrie’s 2026 nomination marks the second time she has been recognized through this national program. The nomination was submitted by a Business Manager Representative at RBC in Edmonton, and it reflects the continued impact of her work supporting Indigenous children and families.

As an Indigenous woman entrepreneur from Northern Alberta, Treaty 8, Carrie’s work is deeply personal. Through Netsanak Wekowaw and My Siblings’ Home, she has dedicated herself to creating safe, supportive spaces that keep Indigenous siblings together while they are in care.

This recognition is not only a reflection of Carrie’s leadership, but also of the many strong women and community members working every day to support Indigenous children and families. The work is meaningful, sensitive, and rooted in care, healing, and advocacy.

We are honoured to see this work recognized and remain committed to continuing the mission that drives it forward.
